The Homeland of the Free the States is know to be the homeland of the free people but there argon people who opine otherwise. Allen Ginsberg and Langston Hughes are poets who belong in that category. Using their freedom of speech and the king to write so well, they wrote poems on their opinions of the States. These two poems were America by Allen Ginsberg and Let America be America Again by Langston Hughes. Allen Ginsberg was known for attacking what he saw as the destructive forces of materialism and conformity in the United States at the time. Langston Hughes was known for his written report during the Harlem Renaissance. Both of these designerful poems talk somewhat America and spot how corrupt it is. Ginsbergs poem deals with the history and politics of America. In the poem, Ginsberg criticizes America and about halfway through it, he fesses up to saying that he is America; It occurs to me that I am America. / I am talking to myself again (Ginsberg Li 45). After that line, we see to it that whenever he says America, he is not only talking about what the country is doing to itself but the people who make it what it is. He places a lot of emphasis on being the voice of America and for a while, becomes America.

This poem also makes America seem real selfish by not being able to move the fault for anything. When he talks about this, the ghost is very childish and illiterate.
