This point is about a heavy(p) working lady named Delia who washes array for a living to try to make ends meet for her family. She has been matrimonial for fifteen years to a man named Sykes Jones who basically is an unappreciated man that doesnt appreciate his married womans hard work. He is hated throughout the town for his flirtatious ship canal along with his arrogance. This man treats his wife like the scum of the domain but at the end justice will be served.
Delia, a skinny, nice hardworking lady, who has been airstream change state all her life, is fed up with the way her husband treats her. She has to have the clothes washed at a certain time for the exsanguinous people she washes for. Every time Sykes comes home he criticizes how she keeps washing white peoples clothes as a result they argue about it constantly. He threatens to put his men on her if she doesnt stop washing the clothes in the ho social delightction. Along with the verbal abuse she is also terrified of snakes. The only peace she write downs is when he is not around and when she attends church. Throughout their conjugation she has grown to hate him as much as she use to roll in the hay him when they first became married.




Sykes does not care about the love they use to share and he lets her know that day by and by day. While she is working hard he is out cheater on her with another lady named Bertha. He treats her like a queen and displays himself to be a whole different soulfulness than what he is to his wife. He hates how Delia is so skinny and he makes fun of her body often. Bertha, the lady he is cheating on his wife with, is the total opposite of Delia. She is a thicker lady and seems to be everything he is looking for in a woman.
