The story of Gilgamesh takes carry in the city of Uruk. Gilgamesh the king of Uruk is faced with the threatening maintenance of his own mortality when his best friend Enkidu is marked to die. When Gilgamesh and Enkidu went to the woodwind instrument to shoot down Humababa they confront death, as well as theology Enlils jealousy. The balance between the Gods is unstable, so they use human beings to battle their own conflicts. God Enlil doesnt want human race to establish human effort and divine, because he is afraid that human beings would take over and become like gods.
Enkidu is the one who wants to kill Humbaba.



Even after Humbaba is weak and asks them to not kill him, Enkidu convinces Gilgamesh and kills Humababa. This shows that Enkidu precious to accomplish what he involvet to accomplish when from the beginning when they went to the forest. Enkidus succeeder lead to Enlils doubts that human beings would be authorful as gods, as a result would give him less power as a god, so later on he punishes Enkidu with death.
At this point it seems that even the greatest human beings mean nothing to the Gods. Ishtar wants Gilgamesh but he rejects her and announces his distrust. Ishtar had a bad repeating and a succession of unfortunate lovers, and Gilgamesh didnt want to be one of them.
