Drug trafficking has been a thorn in the United States human face for decades Richard Nixon labeled do drugss as public enemy number one. The stop of drugs coming into the U.S has increased dramatically, since President Nixon declare a contend on drugs in 1971 the United States has spent 600 billion dollars chip this war and in my opinion it has been a war we live been losing since the beginning.
How do we reduce the amount of illegal coming crosswise our borders and finding their way into our neighborhoods and schools? First we need to educated not only our children but also the adults, Congress needs to chip in stricter drug laws and put in place ways to help oneself those who are addicted to illegal drugs. The U.S in my opinion should photograph a more proactive approach to combating the trafficking of drugs within our borders it seems the harshest prison sentences passed down goes to the street take aim dealers while the suppliers basically go untouched.
There was a movie made called Traffic have Martin Sheen it gave an in depth look to this very topic, it showed how the U.S. is losing the war on drugs. My heart drops as witness the affect that drugs has do many neighborhoods across the United States, the broken families, and the lives lost. When the street level dealers are started law enforcers should do everything in their power to cast those guys to divide them the information they need to put an end to drug trafficking.
